19 weeks and no sleep

Here I am, just one week shy of being at the half-way mark. Can you BELIEVE it?! Baby M has grown and his kicks and movements have been stronger. There's a little game I play with him where I'll rub my stomach and press on it in spots...wait...then feel him moving and kicking back. Good times, good times.

For my birthday I was given some money from family members so I decided to buy maternity clothes. My sister also gave me two cute outfits (one of which I'm wearing today, thanks Jess!) and she also got a ton of clothes for our son. Since she doesn't get to see me because she lives in Maine, she spoiled me during her last visit.

Mexico was absolutely incredible and relaxing. We got a room with an ocean view and a balcony. Every morning, I woke up to the sound of waves, seagulls and seals.

For the most part, the weather was in the 70's and we lounged poolside. I of course enjoyed my virgin Pina Coladas. The pool was like bath water, it was so nice.

Nathan and I took a tour of downtown Cabo along with 4 other couples. The highlight of that tour was when we took a water taxi to Lover's Beach. It was truly a "must see" spot.

Other than being completely depressed over the Patriots loss, I've had such a difficult time staying asleep throughout the night. Just the other night I went to Bed Bath & Beyond and picked me up a body pillow along with some Redvines which I'd never tried that some friends of mine recommended. (I'm on this squishy candy kick right now).

So basically this sucker is like a 3rd person in our bed. Poor Nathan, LOL! I slept with it the first night and got all hot and sweaty, then I got cold, then I tried to flip over but got paranoid about cutting circulation to the baby. So the anxiety of staying in one position for fear of not getting the baby enough oxygen keeps me up. Then I try to get on my left side again, but my left arm and leg goes numb. It's a losing battle folks, And I look like a crazy pregnant woman who has restless body syndrome. It's definitely a "must see." But despite all the late nights and lack of sleep, I've managed to be somewhat coherent and am able to function at work.

My latest goal is shopping for Child Care. I think we've concluded that finding a Family Day Care is more affordable for us. I also like the idea of having it in a home with limited amount of children. I've got my list and I'm making calls this week to ask questions and get rates. It's quite overwhelming and I'm just praying that this recommendation that I got from a friend works out.

His arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of his body now. His kidneys continue to make urine, and the hair on his scalp is sprouting. Mood: Happybut I'm getting "nest anxiety"
Cravings: Gummy/Squishy candy
Energy: Low from lack of sleep and a sinus infection
Morning Sickness: NONE!!!

Hi lil mama
The pics of Mexico looks great especially today with the snow. Your little belly is sooooo cute also. Hopefully your fears will give in to a good night sleep soon.Its so hard with your first child, you dont know what to expect. Keep your chin up it does get better.

You look fabulous! I remember someone told me when I was pregnant with my first that the sleeplessness was good training for having a newborn. I remember thinking but shouldn't I get to sleep NOW!? lol

That makes total sense Jen! BTW, thanks for pushing me to get the body pillow. Though massively huge, it helps me sleep a lot better.
