Lookie me!

Check out what I got to do for the first time this weekend! Almost 6 months pregnant and on the ice. Woohoo!

Nathan and I went up to Maine this past
weekend to spend time with his mom and step dad as well as visit my sister and nieces. There was so much snow up in Maine that you could barely see anything through the windows. There were walls of snow everywhere. The views were so peaceful and spectacular that it made for a very relaxing time spent. The boys went down to the ice fishing shack to see if they could catch anything, so Pam and I decided to snow shoe our way there. It was the first time I had realized that I cannot bend over for long periods of time without losing my breath. I had to have Pam help me buckle my snow shoes for me. Away we went from their back yard onto the Lake. What a workout! I loved it though. As soon as we met up with the guys we took a break. Hey, who's that Paul Bunyan look-a-like in the background? ;-)

On Sunday we went up t visit my sister and the girls for the rest of th
e afternoon. They were so excited to see us. Nikki made Nathan and I the cutest Valentine's Day cards and Destiny showed me how good she's getting at her drawing skills. Naudia was completely amused at my belly as she lightly rubbed it. I showed her pictures of what a 22 week fetus looks like online and she was totally glued. She wanted to see more as I explained to her how her cousin can hear her if she speaks to him.
My sister got kicked in the face by her nephew as she placed her ear on my stomach! It was such a riot. They cooked us such a great meal and it was really nice to get a chance to see them.

Just for laughs, I had Nathan take a belly shot with both Mitch and I.
Ummmm yea, Mitch has me beat by at least 4 months!

My sinuses have felt better and better and I'm not having snot rocket spasms in the middle of the night. Poor Nathan seems to always find used tissues on his side of the bed. Our son had the hiccups a couple of days ago which was really cute. I timed it and it went on every 7-10 seconds for about 2 minutes. My stomach's getting tighter and tighter and I find myself lubed up like one of those body-building grease balls. Hey, it keeps me from itching like a maniac!

This weekend, we're replacing the oven in our condo and next week, we're installing the trim throughout the place. Hopefully it will all be done by next Sunday (March 16) when we have our first Open House.

Age of fetus: 23 weeks
What's going on this week: His skin is red and wrinkled. Blood vessels in his lungs are developing to prepare him for breathing. He can swallow, but he normally won't pass his first stool (called meconium) until after birth. Loud noises heard often in utero — such as your dog barking or the roar of a vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze your baby when he hears them outside the womb.
Baby's Size: Your baby is more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango).
Mood: Nervous about getting the condo ready and selling it.
Cravings: Orange Juice and cereal (not mixed together)
Energy: Good!
