Spring has Sprung!

Nine months have passed since his birth and I can't believe we're 3 months away from him turning a year old! His personality continues to develop and Nathan and I see a humorous and curious child coming to life. He's still fascinated with hands. He laughs and coo's whenever I snap my fingers or do the "itsy-bitsy spider" song with him. Brayden now sways side to side and can now clap his hands whenever I sing to him. I often wonder if the loud pitches of ooOooo's and aaaahhh's are him singing too. He makes funny noises with his nose and often showers anyone with raspberries.

He sits up by himself now but is having difficulty crawling. But her certainly doesn't have a problem standing when he holds my fingers. There were several times he actually stood up by himself or held himself up on a toy for 10 seconds or more at a time. So who knows. He might be walking before he crawls.

I've recently started feeding him table food. He's had raviolis with pasta sauce and lentils with ground beef and veggies. He's been eating "baby food" since he turned 5 months old, but now I'm experimenting with how well he does with the meals I cook for Nathan and I. He eats anything I put in front of him. I give him yogurt with some pureed fruit, hummus, and he even had his first taste of cake at a birthday party for his friend Teddy.

Brayden now has 4 teeth with two more right on the surface. His face is now looking more and more like a little boy. Just a couple of days ago, I enrolled him into a Mommy and Me swimming class. It's indoors at the Boys and Girls Club. He'll learn how to blow bubbles, splash the water, do on the baby water slide and even get to go underwater! Watch out Michael Phelps!

The pregnancy is going well minus the pure exhaustion I feel every day and the excruciating headaches I get almost everyday. I'm 13 weeks along now and I'm showing. You know you're in the thick of it when you sweat at night and you fill your cup with ice to get your drink as cold as possible. I'm also having some muscle cramps. My next appointment is this upcoming Thursday and that's when I finally see my OB/GYN doctor. I'm curious to know if I'd be able to have a V-BAC so soon after having Brayden by C-Section.

I can't wait to find out what we're having. I'd be lying to you all if I said I didn't care what I was having. I'd love a girl, if not, I won't be bummed out. It just means we'll have 3 kids ;-) I have a feeling that I'm having a boy. I just get the feeling that I'm destined to have boys. I'll most likely find out in about 5 weeks or so.
